Greetings!
Once again, feel free to transcribe any entry that interests you. I have my own personal transcriptions of the marked entries (there are five in total) and would be glad to compare them with you all on Thursday. Make sure to stop by the Lilly and take a look at the Williams collection, it should already be available. I'm also posting pictures of the entries (one entry for March 30 is missing but it will be posted asap!) but they are not the absolute best so getting a look at them first hand may be very beneficial. Also, be sure to compare the diary entries to the novel passages posted as well. I'll make a sincere effort to clearly mark them so you know which ones correspond with one another. The journal entries can be read in their entirety as they are not too long. And the excerpts from the book will be labeled. Enjoy.
See you all in class!
Begin at "It was the thirtieth of March..." and end with "...for which Dev was grateful."
These are to be read in their entirety.
We'll discuss the explicit connections between the diary entries and the novel excerpts in class. But for now, begin to think about how they may connect--even if you have no real understanding of why. I know it may seem a little confusing to read some of this out of context but we'll piece this puzzle together, together!
Also, remember there is one page from the diary-- March 30th entry-- that is to be posted asap! It corresponds to the same novel excerpts as the March 31st entry.
EDIT: The March 30th entry has been posted!
